NEAT30 is designed to be local-first. Most nutrition data stays on your device. Optional cloud backup, restore, and device-link features may transmit limited data to our infrastructure when you turn them on. This Notice explains what we collect, how we use it, your choices, and your rights.
Key Points at a Glance
-
Local-first: your nutrition data is stored on your device by default.
-
Optional cloud features: cloud backup, restore, and device-link features are optional.

No medical advice: NEAT30 is an informational tool, not healthcare or medical advice.
-
We do not sell your personal data.

You can export local data and delete cloud account/data from within the app where supported.
1) What This Notice Covers
This Privacy Notice applies to the NEAT30 application and related services we operate. It does not cover third-party services we do not control.

Food and log data, such as foods, ingredients, quantities, timestamps, saved meals, recipes, and related notes.
-
Support messages, bug reports, and feedback that you choose to send us.
B. App Operations and Device Data
-
Pseudonymous identifiers, such as a device-linked identifier generated for app operations and an optional server-generated cloud identity used for backup, restore, and device-link features.
-
Device and app data, such as OS version, app version, language, and time zone.
-
Operational diagnostics, such as crash, performance, and error data needed to keep the app reliable and secure.
-
Security telemetry for cloud-enabled requests, such as rate-limiting and anti-abuse verification data.
C. Optional and Connected Features

Optional cloud backup, restore, and device-link records, including server-stored snapshots and related cloud metadata.
-
Barcode or food database lookups when you choose to query connected nutrition sources.
-
Optional analytics or diagnostics features if enabled in a given build.
-
Nutrition and wellness information can be sensitive. We only collect cloud-stored content when you choose to enable cloud features.
3) Why We Use Your Data
-
Provide app functionality, including logging, calculations, and goal comparison features.
-
Maintain security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
-
Support optional cloud backup, restore, and device-link convenience features.
-
Respond to support requests and service communications.
-
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4) Legal Bases (where applicable)
-
Performance of a contract: to provide the app and features you request.
-
Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
-
Consent: for optional cloud or analytics features where consent is required.
-
Legal obligation: where laws require retention or disclosure.
5) Optional Cloud Backup, Restore, and Device Link
If you enable cloud features:
-
Not end-to-end encrypted: authorized personnel may access stored cloud content only when needed for limited operational, security, abuse-prevention, support, or legal reasons and subject to access controls.
-
Transport and storage security: data is sent over HTTPS and stored with encryption at rest by our cloud providers.
-
Pseudonymous linkage: stored cloud data is associated with generated identifiers rather than a traditional named account unless you separately provide contact information to us.
-
Your control: you can disable cloud features and, where supported, delete cloud account/data from within the app while keeping local device data intact.
6) Sharing and Disclosures
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
-
Service providers such as hosting, cloud storage, anti-abuse, and diagnostics vendors acting on our instructions.
-
Authorized personnel under controlled access for support, reliability, security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
-
Legal authorities or counterparties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.
-
Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale under comparable protections.
7) Data Retention
-
On-device data is retained until you delete it or remove the app.
-
Optional cloud data is retained while cloud features remain enabled and for a reasonable period afterward unless you delete it sooner.
-
Operational logs and diagnostics are kept only as long as reasonably necessary and then deleted or de-identified.
8) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to risk, including HTTPS/TLS in transit, encryption at rest for hosted cloud data, access controls, auditing, and pseudonymous identifiers. No system is 100% secure, and optional cloud features are not end-to-end encrypted.
9) Your Choices and Controls
-
Keep data local by leaving cloud features off.
-
Export local data using in-app export tools where available.
-
Delete cloud account/data from within the app where supported; if self-service is unavailable in your context, contact us for help.
-
Delete local data in-app or by uninstalling/removing app data on your device.
-
Manage device permissions such as camera access in system settings.
10) Children's Privacy
NEAT30 is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to request deletion.
11) International Users and Transfers
Data may be processed or stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
12) Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where applicable. Contact info@eth-studio.com to make a request.
13) Third-Party Services
The app may integrate with third-party nutrition databases, cloud providers, anti-abuse tools, or diagnostics services. Their own policies govern their services.
14) Do Not Track and Global Privacy Controls
The app does not respond to Do Not Track signals. Where applicable law recognizes Global Privacy Control for web contexts we operate, we honor it as required.
15) Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice from time to time. We will update the effective date and, when feasible, provide in-app notice.
